Meet The Doctors
Dr. James Petersen was born and raised in Utah and came to chiropractic after an injury as a senior in high school.
He graduated from Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas Texas in 2010. He and his wife were inspired to move their family to Alaska in 2015 and immediately fell in love with the people and the area.
When they're not enjoying their work in The Joint, they love spending time with their 7 children (4 girls and 3 boys ranging in age from 8-19), serving in their church, and all things outdoors, including their Bernadoodle named Bear.
Dr. Petersen is both a practitioner and patient of chiropractic and is consistent about getting his weekly adjustment. He believes strongly in recommending the same excellent care to his family and his patients and is passionate about routine preventative chiropractic.
Dr. Morgan Towslee (goes by Dr. Morgan) was born and raised in a small town in Washington state. She’s always had a love for health and fitness and earned a Kinesiology degree at Washington State University (Go Cougs!) before attending and graduating magna cum laude from Life Chiropractic College West in the San Francisco area in 2018. She practiced in busy downtown Seattle for 5 years until having her son. Dr. Morgan’s husband is from Alaska, and when they brought their baby boy there to visit, it became clear to them that Alaska is where he should grow up! She is so excited to serve the Anchorage and Wasilla communities and experience the beauty of Alaska year round.
Dr. Morgan finds joy and passion in providing chiropractic care to her community, and truly feels it is her calling and what she is meant to do. She knows that chiropractic care is essential in helping people thrive and be the best versions of themselves. She has a special passion for prenatal and postpartum care, and has been Webster certified since 2020. Chiropractic care is the foundation of health and wellness for Dr. Morgan and her family, she gets adjusted at least once per week and checks her husband, son, and other family members regularly. When she isn't providing chiropractic care, she loves spending time with her family, working out, fishing in Kenai, snowboarding, playing volleyball and jump roping, and taking short trips to Washington to see family and friends there.

If you have ever watched the Incredible Hulk, my four year old grandson did the "HULK SMASH" on me while we were playing. I tried to move quickly, however this grandma wasn't quite fast enough! It hurt to sit for longer than even 2-3 minutes. After going to see The Joint Doctors here in Wasilla, I felt amazing after only three visits! They not only worked on my back but also gave me stretches to do at home. I absolutely love how caring, personable and compassionate the entire staff is every time I go! Highly recommend more than any other chiropractor I have ever been to!

This place is EXCELLENT! Staff is super knowledgeable and friendly ! Dr. Morgan has been working on a shoulder injury I had and it's almost completely healed ! Her techniques and helpful information has helped gain my range of motion back and strengthened my shoulder ! It's almost a miracle and I'm super happy with her!

I came to The Joint for the first time on Tuesday. So very impressed with staff, courteous, thorough, compassionate , and this plan is so very accommodating. I'm sure the freedom of walk in treatment is probably going to be a bit crowded later as they have more clients, but right now, it's fabulous! If you hurt please go and let them help you as they did me. I absolutely recommend this service.
